Editing Services
Rates vary by project. If you’d like, you’re welcome to request a rate range in advance of your sample to get a sense. Request a free sample edit or contact me to learn more.
Developmental Editing
This involves the big picture, such as structure, pacing, characterization, visual imagery, dialogue, etc.
Line Editing
This includes stylistic elements of language, such as sentence structure, clarity, accessibility, and flow.
Copy Editing
This includes the mechanics of language, such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It also includes consistency and accuracy.
Proofreading
This is a final check for errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formatting. This comes after your book is formatted for publication.

Poetry Edit
As a poet and poetry writing MFA alum, this is my specialty. I provide in-depth poetry editing (rhythm, imagery, line breaks, form, and more), ordering assistance, copy editing, etc., depending on your needs.

This is a write-up focusing on key areas for improvement. An assessment is more affordable than a line-by-line edit and is a great option for writers on a budget.
